About buying lost books again…

Standard

My husband took one of my Margaret Atwood novels to read on public transit on his way to a judo competition last weekend. Sometime during the day, he lost track of the book and could not locate it either the following day. He then proceeded to the nearest English-language bookstore to buy the book again (so he could finish it, and so “his wife wouldn’t kill him” as he told one of his judo buddies!). Cute! As if…

But that reminds me of losing a Milan Kundera book (twice!) on airplanes. I still own that third copy, but what a cost there was to reading it!
